No Apology Needed

CNN.com today reports that:“America's image has declined in nearly every region of the world in recent years, but Obama's victory ‘enables the United States to start again with a clean slate,’ according to John Quelch, the senior associate dean at Harvard Business School.‘Americans can actually go to dinner parties and cocktail receptions around the world today and not have to apologize for the United States the way they have had to do the last several years,’ he said. ‘The election has made life a little bit easier for Americans living and traveling abroad to hold their head up high again’”To hell with that! Any American who thinks they must hang their head in shame abroad for being an American and apologize for our nation is a self-loathing disgrace to this incredibly noble and courageous nation. Very few things make me see red with pure anger than to read absolute garbage as this swill on CNN.com.I could go on for hours on this. However I will make a few simple points. The United States is the most giving, noble and moral nation in the world. Thousands upon thousands of American lives were shed here and abroad defending us and many, yes many, nations around the world from the forces of tyranny and oppression. From the atrocities of Adolph Hitler to the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, the United States is the ONLY nation and the American people are the ONLY people that have consistently fought the forces of evil in this world. The United States is the leader in life saving medicine and we share it with people from around the world. We develop new technology for numerous industries and we are the spearhead in the global economy. The people of this nation send more foreign aid and more foreign missionaries than any other country. When a crumbling nation with a corrupt government and a starving people are in need, it is the United States that is ALWAYS turned to for rescue and we are there. We are there because we are a moral and just people that deliver the hand of peace yet will fervently defend our selves against the enemies of our nation.I have no tolerance for people who feel they need to apologize for this great country. I feel it is more appropriate to apologize for even having these people in our country.
